Born in the late 1990s from the merger of two historic musical societies in Bourges, L’Harmonie de Bourges proudly carries on the great French tradition of the concert band. With around 65 musicians from many different backgrounds, seasoned amateurs as well as young talents trained at the Conservatory, the ensemble upholds an artistic standard that has earned it numerous awards since its founding. Its rich and varied repertoire ranges from transcribed classical works to film scores and popular tunes, always driven by an infectious collective energy. Beyond the concert hall, the orchestra loves to go out and meet its audience, bringing its warm brass colour to major festive occasions. Its appearance at the French Market promises a warm and generous musical moment deeply rooted in France’s sonic heritage.
